*cough* *hack*

OK, so I am not ignoring anyone, but no, I've not been an industrious little packer lately, either.

I was having fun with my brother and his family who were down earlier in the week. Then, it started. I thought I'd just worn bad shoes to the parks a couple days in a row and my legs were achy from it. Then, Monday, we went shopping around property while the girls were with friends from home. I felt a little dizzy, but kept going. By the time we went in to DisneyQuest, I was freezing--and that I chalked up to being a little damp from rain. I will also mention, I have absolutely no idea how long ago I had a true fever. My body temperature always runs around 96-97. While at DisneyQuest, I did find a leather chair that became my bed for awhile. I ordered coffee and rather than drink it, like a normal person would, I used it as a hand/leg warmer. Amidst the noise and chaos in there, I got about a 90 minute nap. We closed the place, and when we got back here, I don't know why, but I reached for my ear thermometer. The reading: 101.1 F WHOA! I truly had the flu! Ok, so now that you know I am not ignoring anyone, I am going back to bed.

Will post more about our fun times when I can sit here longer.

Step 1 completed

*Whew*

I have the strangest feeling now. I can't believe I did it. I have exactly 6 days left of working for Walt Disney World. I gave 2 weeks notice today - I say 6 days, because I also have a couple vacation days in there and yet another flawed schedule from asking for the vacation time, then after they okayed it, still didn't get it right, so I have a couple more days off than planned.

So, everyone who was going to ask for free admission this year, sorry. I just can't take being there any longer. Can't post anything specific, but double standards, favoritism....you name it, it's happening.

I have only mentioned that I was leaving to a few people, and even fewer people know the specifics. Aside from my annoyance with the company, policies, and people, it's just time to leave. I haven't wanted to be there for awhile, though I will miss the parks and the perks. I am also completely disenchanted with Florida. While people come here for the beaches, the warm winters, and such, it's not such a big selling point for me. I do not...repeat....DO NOT....want to be here for another Florida summer. I.LIKE.WINTER. !!!

So what next? Not sure. I am sending all of my earthly possessions to Illinois. I have a place to live up there--my sister, Michelle, has a house with a smaller house behind it that is available to be lived in and I just pay utilities. We're even talking about putting up a fenced in area around that house so Max will have his own yard!! woohoo! I haven't said anything until now because I've kind of tried to block this out of my mind, but my dad has some more health problems and I am a little concerned in reading the website about the drug they are giving him. I am also trying to figure out an itinerary for Europe. I really don't like planning trips, but since I haven't been over there, and it's sort of far from home, if I go, I need at least a little bit of a plan. If nothing else, I am going to go to London, and if I feel adventurous, go elsewhere from there. I just need some adventure to mark a new chapter. If you know my email address, you know that I have wanted to travel. It's getting pretty annoying that I haven't gone anywhere outside the USA since I went to Haiti almost 10 years ago.

So, there you have it.
